秦暉簡介：歷史學家，師從馬克思主義歷史學家趙儷生，早期從事農民史研究，后來都是憑興趣自費研究，從來不申請課題，所以發論文很少，但出書很多。雖然先后任教于清華大學和香港中文大學，但他的很多朋友都是北大的。比如和錢理群，錢理群的老師王瑤和趙儷生是同學，錢老師也幫秦暉推過書《共同的底線》。早年研究明末農民戰爭時和顧誠走得很近，自述遺憾沒做顧誠的研究生。（《鼎革之際》）不少優秀的同時期歷史學者對秦暉評價都挺高的，如北大的閻步克（中國中古史研究的大家）曾說，好多學者是造零件的，而秦暉是有自己的一套系統的。...
